With Christian Wolff at klub katarakt

On short notice, we will play on Wednesday at the opening of klub katarakt. Together with the colleagues from Decoder, TonArt, Stark Bewölkt and other guests we will play Christian Wolff’s Burdocks. The composer is present and we already had some days of rehearsals with him. Also on the programme the world premiere of his new piece Where. Nelly Boyd is joined by Moxi Beidenegl, Johann Popp and Stephan Marc Schneider.

On the last day of the festival, the Long Night, we will play together with other musicians the premiere of the last piece by Ignacio Mendez, who passed away last October. The piece is called Ultimo día and is for 4 guitars, violin, saxophone, keyboard and tape. Ignacio was a founding member of Nelly Boyd but quit the group in 2005. He is missed and we are glad that we can play this.

Christian Wolff: „Kompositionen 1950 – 1972“

The composer was present. Other performers on the CD include people like David Tudor, Frederic Rzweski etc.
